Is 8K Video Worth It in 2026? An Honest Answer
8K video sounds impressive on a spec sheet, but almost nobody watches 8K content. Here is when 8K actually helps, when it is a waste of storage, and what matters more than resolution for quality footage.

8K video captures approximately 33 million pixels per frame — four times the resolution of 4K. On paper, this sounds like a massive quality improvement.
